Giovannini Romano, a distinguished, kind and sociable person who has never had excesses neither in loquacity nor in wanting to appear or emerge. A man attentive to events near and far and very sensitive to the social and political problems of the Verrezziese and Aosta Valley communities.
Great was the friendship that bound him to Valerio Beneforti, trade unionist and politician, who visited him several times, even when the speeches could no longer be up to the level of those of the past.
In his affections there were always his mother and his brother Tullio's family, enriched with grandchildren and great-grandchildren for whom Romano was always present and helpful, in case of need.
A "great uncle" who left us early and in a somewhat traumatic way. Romano slowly changed and the shadow of the memory of the beautiful person he was accompanied him until his last walk through the streets of that town that were his life, his holidays, his fellow countryman.
We like to remember him like this, in front of the Giovanetto Bar, with his friendly smile, intent on kindly greeting those passing by.
Life Romano actively participated in the life of the town by being part of various associations and the municipal administration.
He carried out his work at the Guinzio Rossi, later Imva, of Verrès.

Greetings to you uncle, the most honest and discreet person I've ever met.
May this page allow you to be remembered forever by all those who have known you and also by those who have not had the opportunity to do so, such as the great grandchildren who were born after your death.

Hi uncle, it's been a long time since you are no longer here with us. But a thought for you always remains in our hearts. Every time I go to the Giovanetto you come back to my mind, there with your bag always ready to offer me ice cream ...
